Why We Carry Four Lines Instead of One

A lot of Spokane HVAC companies are single-brand shops. There is nothing wrong with that, but it does mean that whatever your house needs, the answer is always the same brand. We would rather carry a few lines and tell you the truth about which one fits.

In practice the decision usually comes down to three questions. Does your house have usable ductwork? How cold does the equipment have to work? And what is the actual budget, not the budget somebody thinks you should have?

• Good ductwork, staying long term, want the top of the efficiency curve. Usually Trane.
• No ductwork, an addition, a shop, a bonus room, or an older Spokane home with radiators. Almost always Mitsubishi, and the Hyper-Heating line if it is carrying the winter.
• Real budget ceiling, a rental, an ADU, or an emergency replacement in January. Often Midea, which gets you inverter performance without the premium price.
• Solid ducted replacement in the middle of the range. Frequently Coleman.

We will also tell you when the equipment is not the problem. If your ductwork is undersized or your returns are choked, a more expensive furnace will not fix your comfort complaint. That conversation happens before the quote, not after the install.
